![]() Note though that you can access a MongoDB database from DBeaver Community Edition using the respective Devart ODBC driver. Enterprise Edition supports NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB or Cassandra, persistent query manager database, SSH tunneling, vector graphics (SVG) and a few other enterprise-level features. The tool comes in two editions - Community and Enterprise. Devart DBeaver provides you with the most important features you'd need when working with a database in a GUI tool, such as: ![]() ![]() DBeaver can be used to access any database or cloud application that has an ODBC or JDBC driver, such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQl, Salesforce, or Mailchimp. I've used a Mac as my personal computer for years, but wasn't ever installing and configuring ODBC drivers on it haha.Īny ideas? I didn't think there would be anything more convoluted than installing/configuring an Oracle ODBC driver, but maybe this takes the cake.Įdit: My Mac is one of the new M1 Macbook Pros and I'm running Big Sur 11.6.DBeaver is a free, open source multiplatform database management tool and SQL client for developers and database administrators. Now, it's quite possible it's less of a Redshift thing and more of a Mac thing. I know it's not the cluster itself, because I can immediately connect to it using dbeaver/JDBC. But when I try to test the connection, it just spins and I have to force quit the tool eventually. Redshift shows up as a recognized ODBC driver. ![]() I've installed iODBC Administrator and have the connection set up there. I've gone through this document and this document a million times. Oddly enough, I was able to install/configure the Redshift JDBC connection on my Mac (I use dbeaver to query our databases which uses JDBC), but I cannot get the ODBC thing set up for the life of me. Easy peasy, I've done ODBC and JDBC connections to basically every other type of database (on Windows, of course) except for Redshift. I need to connect Redshift to Tableau, and to do that I need the ODBC driver. I'm a data engineer in a new role and I've got the double whammy of 1) never working with Redshift before and 2) first time developing in a Mac shop. About to go insane, so I'm hoping someone here can help. ![]()
